In this project, we reimagined a kitchen layout that originally included an underused doorway next to the refrigerator. To improve both storage and flow, we closed off the doorway and replaced it with a custom-built kitchen cabinet. Though the final cabinet doors aren’t shown in the photo, the piece was meticulously crafted to match the exact color and style of the existing cabinetry, creating a seamless, intentional extension of the original kitchen design.
On the hallway side of the former doorway, we built and installed a flush-mounted wine rack tailored to the client’s love of wine. Made of maple with 1-inch birch dowels, the rack adds both texture and elegance to the space. By closing off the unused passage and customizing both sides, we created a more efficient layout with thoughtful details that elevate the look and feel of the home.
